With the new year comes new goals! New Year’s resolutions can seem so daunting. How are you going to do something consistently for a whole year?? Here are some tips for sticking with your 2020 wellness and fitness goals: Try breaking your resolutions into more specific actions. Instead of “exercise more,” your resolution could be “take a walk every Wednesday.” Instead of a broad goal to “drink more water” you could get an app that reminds you to drink water throughout the day. December 6, 2019 —The Boston Athletic Association (B.A.A.) today announced that Special Olympics Massachusetts has been named the Official Fundraising Partner of the B.A.A. 5K. Unified Champion Schools receive One Small Candle Award

On November 23rd Plymouth 400 Inc. held its 5th annual Illuminate Thanksgiving program. This year’s theme was inclusion. “This inspirational event celebrates youth, inclusivity and the act of giving thanks by giving back to your community and to the world around you,” according to a press release from organizers. The event includes a presentation of “Who Illuminates Your Life” essay contest winners and the “One Small Candle” award ceremony. 2020 Marlborough Polar Plunge

Join us for a Plunge that is very close to home – or should we say close to work- for our Special Olympics Massachusetts staff. This plunge takes place right in our parking lot on Forest Street in Marlborough. What makes it unique? In Marlborough we don’t jump into a lake or ocean, we jump out of a moving truck (parked of course) and into a pool of ice cold water. Team represents Massachusetts at National Tennis Tournament

10 athletes and 3 Unified partners represented Special Olympics Massachusetts at the Special Olympics North America Tennis Championship October 17-19, 2019. The athletes, partners and their coaches traveled to Hilton Head Isle, South Carolina to compete alongside 160 Special Olympics athletes and Unified partners, representing 11 U.S. and Latin American programs. The weekend began with a Unified experience and Opening Ceremony. Athletes then competed in singles matches and in Unified doubles on Friday and Saturday.
