Ringing in the New Year at the 2019 Winter Classic

In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Special Olympics Movement and for the first time ever, the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks have invited Special Olympics floor hockey teams to participate in the annual NHL Winter Classic at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana. Athletes from Massachusetts and Illinois will partner with Bruins and Blackhawks alumni to compete in a Unified Floor Hockey exhibition at the Joyce Center on the Campus of the University of Notre Dame. 2018 Boston Bruins Foundation Golf Tournament

Tyler Lagasse has had quite a summer. In June, the UMass Lowell student traveled to Seattle for the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games as the lone golfer on Team Massachusetts where he earned a silver medal in elite level golf. Boston Bruins Foundation announce historic partnership with Special Olympics Massachusetts

On Tuesday August 28, the Boston Bruins Foundation announced an historic partnership with Special Olympics Massachusetts. The Boston Bruins Foundation has pledged a $1 million donation over three years to Special Olympics Massachusetts; the largest donation by the foundation to date.
