Flag Football – Torch Run RSVP
2018 Flag Football State Games – November 17, 2018
You. We’re inviting law enforcement departments from around the state to participate in Opening and Closing Ceremonies at our 2018 Flag Football State Games.
1) Guard the “Flame of Hope” on a short, ceremonial, group run. Officers and members of the military carry the torch together to officially start of the 2018 Flag Football State Games. Or,
2) Come in uniform and be a part of the high-five tunnel welcoming athletes onto the field in preparation for Opening Ceremonies. All are welcome to stay after Opening to cheer on athletes and then present medals at Closing Ceremonies.
At Franklin High School, meet at the volunteer registration table before walking the torch along the track facing the bleachers.
At Gillette Stadium, park in the Hall of Fame parking lot and register on the Hall of Fame Plaza. Runners will meet to start the Torch Run and uniformed officers will line up at the inflatable Patriots helmet to welcome the athletes.
At Franklin High School, Opening Ceremonies will start at 9:00am. At Gillette Stadium, the Torch Run will start at 8:30am, followed by Opening Ceremonies at 9:00am. At either location, the Awards Presentations will begin upon completion of each division, typically 1:00pm-4:00pm. Officers are welcome to come and go as they choose, as games will be ongoing throughout the day.
Support our athletes as they participate in the highest level of competition for their sport. In addition to participating in the Torch Run, officers are encouraged to stay and present medals to athletes after competition concludes. A highlight of the day for the athletes is receiving an award from a uniformed police officer from their respective city or town.
