Sports Skills Centers

Special Olympics Massachusetts is planning to hosting new six-week Sports Skills Programs across the state this fall.

Young Athlete and Skills Sessions will focus on individual skills instruction on a specific sport each week.

Current Programs:

Berkshire Skills Center

  • October 16th thru November 20th at Herberg Middle School in Pittsfield. 10 am to 12 pm
  • Soccer and football will be the sports of skills focused on.

Future Programs:

Beverly Sports Skills Center

  • Winter information coming soon!

Lowell Sports Skills Center

  • Winter information coming soon!

Springfield Skills Center

  • Winter information coming soon!

Woburn Sports Skills Center

  • Future program information coming soon!

Walking Clubs

Don’t see a club near you? Get one started by emailing Vicky at vicky.dinatale@specialolympicsma.org (Interested in volunteering with an existing club, email Vicky as well!

For all fitness levels!  Join a nearby Walking Club if you’re looking to enjoy fresh air, looking to make new friends, hit that step goal or just get some exercise!

Leominster

  • Saturdays, 9 am – 10am at Doyle Field in Leominster / Indoors at Whitney Field Mall depending on weather
  • Snow-shoeing is also offered in the winter
  • Ongoing throughout the entire year

Western Ma Hiking Club

Hanover Walking Club

  • Sunday 10-11am
  • At Forges Pond Park

Plymouth Walking Club

  • Tuesdays 4:30-5:30PM
  • At Forges Field

Northborough Walking Club

  • Tuesdays 5-6pm
  • At Ellsworth McAfee Park

Worcester Walking Club

  • Wednesdays 4pm
  • At Lake Park; 283 Lake Ave, Worcester, MA 01604

Weymouth Walking Club

  • Saturdays 10AM, at King Oak Park! (some Saturdays there wont be a club so check specific page for details)
  • Yoga Optional at the beginning of club
