Sports Skills Centers

Special Olympics Massachusetts is planning to hosting new six-week Sports Skills Programs across the state this fall.

Young Athlete and Skills Sessions will focus on individual skills instruction on a specific sport each week.

Current Programs:

Beverly Sports Skills Center

  • Sundays, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
  • April 3rd thru May 8th
  • Basketball will be the sports of focus

Marlboro Sports Skills Center 

  • Saturdays, 10 am to 1 pm
  • April 2nd thru May 14th (skipping April 16th)
  • For ages 6-12 and 13+. Tennis and track and field are the sports of focus for ages 6 to 12. Track and field is the sport of focus for ages 13+

Methuen Sports Skills Center

  • Saturdays, 9:00 am to 11:00 am
  • April 2nd thru May 14th
  • Young Athlete Skills

Springfield Sport Skill Center

  • Sundays 10- 1pm
  • March 27th -May 8th
  • Floor Hockey and basketball will be the sport focus

Woburn Sports Skills Center

  • Saturdays, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
  • April 2nd thru May 14th
  • Soccer and basketball will be the sports of focus

Walking Clubs

For all fitness levels!  Join a nearby Walking Club if your looking to enjoy fresh air, looking to make new friends, hit that step goal or just get some exercise!


  • Saturdays, 9 am – 10am at Doyle Field in Leominster / Indoors at Whitney Field Mall depending on weather
  • Snow-shoeing is also offered in the winter
  • Ongoing throughout the entire year

  • Saturdays 2pm, at Kings Beach
  • May 21st- June 25th

Hanover Walking Club

  • Sundays 9:30-10:30am at Forge Fond Park; 245 King St, Hanover, MA 02339
  • May 1-  June 12th (no class memorial day weekend)
