Sports Skills Centers

Special Olympics Massachusetts is planning to hosting new six-week Sports Skills Programs across the state this fall.

Young Athlete and Skills Sessions will focus on individual skills instruction on a specific sport each week.

Current Programs:

Beverly Sports Skills Center

  • February 19th thru April 2nd at the Greater Beverly YMCA from 2:30-4:30pm
  • Basketball will be the sport of focus

Lowell Sports Skills Center

  • February 26th thru April 2nd at Lowell Catholic from 1:00-3:00pm
  • Basketball and soccer will be the sports of focus

Springfield Skills Center

Woburn Sports Skills Center

Walking Clubs

Don’t see a club near you? Get one started by emailing Vicky at vicky.dinatale@specialolympicsma.org (Interested in volunteering with an existing club, email Vicky as well!

For all fitness levels!  Join a nearby Walking Club if you’re looking to enjoy fresh air, looking to make new friends, hit that step goal or just get some exercise!

Leominster

  • Saturdays, 9 am – 10am at Doyle Field in Leominster / Indoors at Whitney Field Mall depending on weather
  • Snow-shoeing is also offered in the winter
  • Ongoing throughout the entire year

Western Ma Hiking Club

Dance Programs

A new program to Special Olympics Massachusetts. For all levels of dancers (those who have never dances and those who are advance!) Most dance programs focus on Hip Hop style dance.

Worcester
