USA Games Spotlight: Laurene Rice

Worcester’s Rice is Heading to Seattle as Member of Team Massachusetts!

Laurene Rice is heading to Seattle to compete in 10 pin bowling at the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games. Along with her teammates, she will go head to head with athletes from across the country at Kenmore Lanes.

Laurene lives in Worcester, MA and participates with the South High Special Olympics program. Her career kicked off in 2004 and she has been a multi-sport star, spending time honing her skills in bowling, track & field, and bocce.

Laurene has showcased her skills on the national stage before as a member of Team Massachusetts in 2006 at the Games in Ames, Iowa. Laurene was also selected to represent Special Olympics USA at the World Games in Los Angeles in 2015 as a member of the Track & Field team. At World Games, Laurene was awarded two bronze medals.
