Raised in 2023
There are lots of plunges happening this year all around Massachusetts and the opportunity to plunge wherever and whenever you'd like! Events take place from December through April. Each location event occurs on a different date.

A Polar Plunge is an event where participants raise money for Special Olympics Massachusetts and jump into a cold body of water along with hundreds of other brave Plungers.
Each year we host more than a dozen different dates to take the Polar Plunge spanning from January through March. If none of these dates or times align with your schedule, you can still take the plunge on your own anywhere at anytime!
Our Polar Plunges are held from the Berkshires to the Cape at lakes, oceans, pools, schools, and even breweries. If none of our locations are convenient for you, feel free to take the Plunge anywhere and anyhow you want!
On October 25, 2023, visit PolarPlungeMA.org and click on the register button! If you have participated in an event on Donor Drive with us in the last two years, use the same login information as before. Please try to use your email address you have used in the past because all funds you have raised and donated will stay on one constituent record. If you do not remember your username or password, you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or, select “forgot password” and you’ll be sent a link to create a new one.
Any amount raised for the Polar Plunge is welcomed! Anyone who raises at least $100 will receive an exclusive Polar Plunge t-shirt.
We do not charge credit cards for not raising the $100 fundraising minimum. However, we set that as the minimum to receive the annual t-shirt. All funds raised through the Polar Plunge directly benefit Special Olympics Massachusetts athletes throughout the state!
No, you are more than welcome to plunge individually or on a team!
No there is not, as long as young ones have a parent or guardian to supervise. Children under 18 years old need to have an additional waiver signed and completed before their Polar Plunge.
Not if you don’t want to! Our in-person plunges involved jumping into a cold body of water, whether it be a pool, pond, lake, or ocean) but you can plunge on your own any way you want!
