Polar Plunge®

Take the Plunge into icy cold waters this winter to help provide over 12,000 athletes with an opportunity to participate in sports training and competition programs that help them live longer, happier, healthier lives. Each plunger will commit to raise at least $100 to support Special Olympics athletes throughout the state. Whether supporting a local program or raising money for general donations, every dollar you have raised directly supports year-round sports training and competition for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Massachusetts.

The 2019 LETR AMVETs Natick Passion Plunge is now live!

We are welcoming our 6th year of this Polar Plunge with a goal of $18,000! Gather your friends, family, local programs, teammates, and get your bodies ready for a plunge in the coooooooold Lake Cochituate on February 9th!

MARCH 30 & 31, 2019: LETR Pittsfield Super Plunge

2019 Pittsfield Super Plunge

We are on the search for Super Plungers to commit to 24 plunges in 24 hours! Starting March 30 at 11:00 am, Super Plungers will Plunge into Onota Lake from the afternoon, overnight, and into the wee hours of the morning until the final plunge at 10:00 am, March 31. From there, all Plungers will gather to finish off this crazy plunge! Warm up with a Post Plunge party, food, and awards!

Let’s not forget last year’s amazing event!

Thank you to the 10 brave individuals who committed to plunging into Lake Onota in Pittsfield 24 times in 24 hours! They plunged a combined 250 times and raised $13,000 for athletes in Berkshire County and across the state. Thank you to all of the Berkshire County businesses and community members who donated food, sponsored an hour or two of the plunge, and came out to the lake to cheer on our Super Plungers. Your contributions made the 24-hour period fly by!

APRIL 6, 2019: Long Lake Beach (Littleton, MA)

Are you ready for the 2019 LETR Littleton Polar Plunge!?

Freeze the Date: Saturday, April 6, 2019

Location: Long Lake Beach, Littleton, MA

Organized by students and staff at Littleton High School, as well as supporters from the Littleton and Acton Police Departments, our Littleton Polar Plunge is celebrating a milestone at it’s 6th annual event! Each plunger commits to raising at least $100 to support the Special Olympics athletes throughout the state. Whether supporting a local program or raising money for general donations, every dollar directly supports year-round sports training and competition for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Massachusetts.
