Polar Plunge®

Take the Plunge into icy cold waters this winter to help provide over 12,000 athletes with an opportunity to participate in sports training and competition programs that help them live longer, happier, healthier lives. Each plunger will commit to raise at least $100 to support Special Olympics athletes throughout the state. Whether supporting a local program or raising money for general donations, every dollar you have raised directly supports year-round sports training and competition for athletes with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Massachusetts.

Get your feet wet by checking out photos of past years’ Polar Plunges on our SmugMug webpage.

Pittsfield Super Plunge a Super Success!

MA’s First Ever Super Plunge Raises $13,000 for Special Olympics Massachusetts!

Thank you to the 10 brave individuals who committed to plunging into Lake Onota in Pittsfield 24 times in 24 hours! They plunged a combined 250 times and raised $13,000 for athletes in Berkshire County and across the state. Thank you to all of the Berkshire County businesses and community members who donated food, sponsored an hour or two of the plunge, and came out to the lake to cheer on our Super Plungers. Your contributions made the 24-hour period fly by!

Check out the event photos on the Massachusetts LETR and Berkshire LETR Facebook pages.
