SOMA Regional Trainings

FOR COACHES/LOCAL PROGRAM COORDINATORS:

The upcoming SOMA Spring Regional Training RSVP link is below. Dinner will be provided at both locations. Here is the tentative agenda:

  • Meet and Greet Business Operations Contact: Eric Archambault for Cape, Kevin Crossman for Essex/Middlesex County
  • Spring Season information: with a busy spring season – this is a great opportunity to get all the information in one place about upcoming Qualifiers, registration deadlines etc…
  • Marketing and Communications Training: When polled about future trainings, our Coaches and Local Program Coordinators asked for specific guidance when recruiting athletes, volunteers, coaches and Unified® Partners. We’ll also cover proper logo usage, uniform guidelines and social media do’s and don’ts!

FOR ATHLETES (and a chaperone)

  • Global Messenger Training (will occur simultaneous to the above agenda items): Learn how to be an ambassador in your community and work with partners like the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) and TD Bank. This modified training is for athletes interested in sharing their story and representing SOMA during local meetings and events like LETR Tip-A-Cops or TD Bank Ambassador Visits. Athletes and their chaperones (i.e. speech coach) will learn specifics about these special initiatives and upcoming appearance opportunities. Prior public speaking experience preferred.
