Corporate Partnerships Intern - Fall of 2025

Special Olympics Massachusetts is embarking on a new strategic plan that focuses on revenue and programmatic growth across the state through 2030. A primary area of focus and strategy for the strategic plan is revenue growth through corporate partnerships. The intern will assist in the development of sponsorship materials, data tracking, research, and campaign execution to help drive mission-aligned corporate engagement.

Special Olympics Massachusetts’s mission is to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, prepare for entry into school and community programs, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Description:

Special Olympics Massachusetts is embarking on a new strategic plan that focuses on revenue and programmatic growth across the state through 2030. A primary area of focus and strategy for the strategic plan is revenue growth through corporate partnerships. The intern will assist in the development of sponsorship materials, data tracking, research, and campaign execution to help drive mission-aligned corporate engagement.

Timeframe:

•   Internship would occur during the fall of 2025

Key Responsibilities/Skills Needed:

•   Support Corporate Partnerships sales efforts and lead generation through researching and identifying prospects and staying up to date on industry news.

•   Assist in drafting outreach materials, presentations, and proposals to engage prospective partners.

•   Support tracking and fulfillment of corporate sponsor benefits and contractual deliverables.

•   Work with the Corporate Partnerships team to develop compelling recaps, presentations, and marketing collateral tailored to individual partner requirements.

•   Update and maintain detailed records of partnership activities and progress through CRM platforms.

•   Sit in on sales pitches and other meetings to gain further understanding of corporate partnerships day- to-day and build relationships with all customers and important industry leaders.

•   Work events on evenings or weekends when necessary

•   Be ready, willing, and able to take on other duties as assigned.

Background Requirements:

•   Current undergraduate or graduate student in Business, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Sports Management, or a related field

•   Strong written and verbal communication skills

•   Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities

•   Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with CRM or Salesforce is a plus

•   Passion for the mission of SpecialOlympics and commitment to diversity and inclusion

•   Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment

•   Available 15-20 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and days with events

•   This would be a hybrid position that require to be on site at Special Olympics Massachusetts headquarters for some hours.
