Meet the 2025 Hall of Fame Class: The Dyer Family

June 25, 2025

It all comes back to Special Olympics for the Dyer Family. Jonathan and Kate Dyer met when Kate was randomly assigned to be John’s assistant coach for a Special Olympics basketball team—and little did they know, their love story was just the beginning of their lifetime devotion to Special Olympics. The two fell in love, got married and had children— Jordan, who competes as a Special Olympics athlete and Sariah, a Unified partner and coach with Special Olympics. The two kids are now leaders themselves within the movement. The Dyer Family shows us that sometimes love, and purpose come full circle. Whether they're coaching, competing, or rappelling down buildings, this family’s playbook is all about heart & hustle.
