Meet Jay Barnes, the heart and soul behind Haverhill's Special Olympics Local Program! Recently honored with an induction into the Special Olympics Massachusetts Hall of Fame, Jay's dedication knows no bounds. While Jay is a true example of kindness and passion, he's not afraid to ignite a little friendly competition! Loved deeply by his athletes, Jay's journey began with his beloved son Christopher, a shining star in the Special Olympics community. Christopher sadly passed away in October of 2009 after a battle with cancer.
